Being a Female, What is your Clothing Style?

It has been nearly a decade since the tragic 9/11 incident took place in the heart of the New York City in 2001. Since then, the US and its allies have embarked on a journey to wipe out all miscreants and militant organizations like Al-Qaeda and Taliban from the face of the Earth. But the mission dubbed “War on Terror” which has cost over $1.283 trillion to the American exchequer. In addition to that, the loss of precious American lives is incalculable.

Although being a graphic designer, I’m not really a political kind of a guy. But at the same time I am an American patriot and my heart stretches out to our US soldiers who have laid their lives in fighting the terrorist insurgency. Over thousands of American casualties have been reported in the War on Terror and it really breaks my heart to see the count increasing by the day. All I think of is…“When will it end?”

In memory of the brave and courageous US soldiers who have laid down their lives to protect ours, I have amassed a collection of heartbreaking pictures that recollect the memories of the 9/11 fiasco and the wars that followed thereafter.

Has the War Really Ended?

After the announcement of Osama Bin Laden’s death made by President Barrack Obama, do you think that the war on terror has ended?

You don’t get peace by signing agreements and waving bits of paper, but by ceasing war and its violent activities.

You don’t get rid of a terrorist group, known to operate in a muli-cellular fashion, just by chopping off one head.

I think those answer the question pretty well.

Is the USA’s ‘War on Terror’ over now that Osama has been killed?

    I doubt it!

As horrendous as 9/11 was, the US need to back-the-fuck-down now, chill out. Sure protect your own Borders, but get out of all these other countries and go home. The US have terrorised Iraq and Afganistan for long enough, more civilians have died there than on 9/11 and after 10 years Osama wasnt even in those countries. The US isn’t great, it’s desperate, desperate for revenge, desperate to save face and desperate for oil. Other countries around the world don’t think the US is great. The things the US have been doing (financial, environmental and defence/offence) over the last ten years have alienated the US. Sure, you’re all big patriots, but your eyes just can’t open wide enough to see that there is a big world beyond the US, full of people who really don’t give a shit about the yanks and all your arrogant views, opinions and policies.

I think we the British were also involved in the war on terror, in fact very many Brits have been killed. The USA is not the centre of the universe… Get that in your head.

As I looked at the pictures all I saw was USA, USA, USA. That’s not the way to treat long life allies. It made me feel, sort it out yourself.
Just yet another version of the world according the the USA - Disgusting.

Oh dear! The old man being carried away from Ground Zero is Father Mychal Judge. He rushed to Ground Zero to pray for and with the victims and was a chaplain for the NYFD. It has been rumored that he was killed by falling bodies and his official cause of death was blunt force trauma. His body bag was labeled Victim 0001. This photo is one of the most famous of 9/11. The photo of the falling man was only published briefly in the USA. Five years after 9/11 the man was identified as chef Michael Lomonaco.
I appreciate your effort to gather these photos, but please put a bit more research into the background of them.
When I saw Father Judge just identified as an old man my heart hurt and some old wounds have reopened. I guess I didn’t realize how much I still hurt from being at Ground Zero.

I made an error in the identify of the falling man. He was identified by chef Michael Lomonaco. The man actually fall was Jonathan Briley, a 43-year-old employee of the Windows on the World restaurant.

@Becky…thanks for the correction about “Mychal F. Judge”, I have corrected the name.
Regarding “The Falling Man” picture..I also read the Wikipedia article from where you referred about the identity of Jonathan Briley…if you read further, it is written and I quote “However, the identity of The Falling Man has never been officially confirmed.”
