Which brand comes to your mind first when you see the letter “M”? I bet “McDonalds” is what strikes your mind. Undeniably, some of the biggest brands have built their entire reputation on a single letter. That is precisely the case with top brands like McDonalds, Honda, Unilever and QuickTime. Sometimes " simplicity is the ultimate sophistication" when it comes to logo designing. Here are some examples of famous brands dominating the world with their “single-letter” logos.

It is not always necessary to incorporate the entire company name in your logo design. A single letter can also do the trick. If meticulously used, a single letter can give you a memorable logo design.     Den,

    The word hippopotamus comes from the Greek words hippo=horse and potamus=river - literally river horse.

    And the hippocampus was named after a mythological creature with the head of a horse (hippo) and the tail of a dolphin (camp).

    Sounds like a seahorse to me.

    Oh… wait, were you talking about the fact that the logo looks like the head of a hippo too? I wonder if they did that on purpose.

    I also wonder if they intended to miss-spell the word.

    Having the company logo design come from the firs letter of the brand is a great way to make people remember you. A good designer will find ways to incorporate the business into the design to take it once step further. When someone sees the logo, the name will be on the tip of their tongue.

    I am a huge proponent of the “less is more” aphorism. Some people might think it’s easier… I strongly disagree. It’s a lot harder to come up with something that works; but when it does, it’s one powerful logo.

    Great single letter logo. Not all companies can pull it off. I like Hanuet Wine and Giraffe. Simple yet so creative. Very iconic indeed! I aim for logo design that has such impact. I recently had my logo done by the Logo Design Creation and the quality of work and design concepts that were provided are some of the best I have ever seen. Through efficient and effective communication we were able to come to concensus and a final design in just a couple of days. Since then I have needed to make some minor changes with a new email address and logo design promptly made those changes. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality, responsive logo design services for their business.
