This is very cool and creative as an art piece, but as a logo I think would be hard to use in practical printing when scaled down (for something like a pen or perhaps a business card). Also certain printing can only be in black and white and you could really lose some of the different elements if all done in one colour.
My favourite graphic design professor never let us use colour for logo design until the design was almost 100% complete so it would work/look great under all circumstances. Just something I use now in my own design process.
