 Post subject: Create PDF417 from Excel

I have a barcode scanner and want to create an inventory. When I scan a barcode, it will search column A, and if there is one, it will enter a number in the column f, which is one higher than the number in column A. Is it possible to achieve this automatically in Excel?

You may use vlookup formula in Excel to achieve this auto.BTW, what type of the barcode in Excel?

I tried the vlookup, it is not simple but works. And now I also need to generate the barcode PDF 417 myself, not only scan them. I am not sure how to create it in excel. Help!

Hi, you can use this Excel barcode add-in, which supports data-binding. You can install the barcode add-in by a few clicks. And no programming are required. you can insert the barcodes into your Excel.

PDF417 is a two dimensional barcode symbology. You can download a font and intall it on your system. Then you can create it in your Excel.

PDF417 is a bar code symbology with the following characteristics:

Each PDF417 code contains:
1 - Leading and trailing quiet zones.
2 - Start and stop rows.
3 - Left and right row indicators.
4 - One or more data rows (up to 30).
